Ingredients :
For pakora :
2 cup gram flour
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp salt
Pinch of soda
Water for making better
Yellow peas curry
Ingredients :
1 cup boiled yellow peas
3-4 tsp refined oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tomato
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
⅓ tsp chili powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sambar masala powder
Ingredients :
For sarve chat :
Pakoda
Yellow peas curry
Sweet tamarind chutney
Spicy mint chutney
Sev
Coriander leaves
Black salt
Method :
• Take one bowl yellow peas.
• Soak it for 4 hour.
• Take it in pressure cooker , add half glass water and 1 tsp salt in it.
• Then cover the cooker and cook it in medium flame till 2 whistle comes.
• After 10 minutes open the pressure cooker and take boiled yellow peas in a bowel.
• Heat a pan in medium flame.
• Take 3-4 tbsp refined oil.
• Add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1 tsp grated ginger in hot oil.
• Stir it for 6-7 second in slow flame.
• Then add two tomato small pieces in it.
• Then add dry masala powder over tomato.
• Roasted cumin powder, chilli powder and salt as per taste.
• Add 1 tsp sambar masala powder.
• Sambhar masala powder gives a delicious flavour to the curry.
• Mix all the ingredients properly.
• Cover the pan in slow flame for 2-3 minutes.
• After 3 minute when tomato become soft mix the masala properly.
• Then add boiled yellow peas in masala.
• Mix it properly.
• Add ½ glass water for gravy and salt if you want.
• When yellow peas curry will start to boil close the flame and keep aside.
Method :
For making pakoda :
• Take gram flour, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and baking soda in a pan.
• Mix all dry ingredients properly.
• Add water step by step in dry ingredients and make batter.
• Beat the batter for 2 minutes till it become soft.
• Batter is ready for making pakora.
• Heat refined oil in medium flame.
• Add round shaped batter one by one in hot oil.
• Fry it till it turns to light golden brown colour.
• It takes 5 to 6 minutes for frying pakoda.
• When pakodas turns to light golden brown colour take it in a plate.
How to prepare curd for chaat :
• Take ½ bowl thick curd.• Add ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tsp sugar and a pinch of salt in it.
• Mix it properly
• Curd is ready for making chaat.
Method :
For arrange pakoda chaat :
• Take 5-6 pakoda in a bowl.• Add 4-5 tbsp yellow peas curry over it.
• Then pour 2 tbsp is sweet tamarind chutney and spicy mint chutney.
• Then pour curd and sev over curd.
• Garnish it with coriander leaves.
• Now pakoda chaat is ready for serving.
