Gaja recipe-Bangla goja-Dali gaja-Odisha special gaja recipe

 About this recipe :


 Gaja is a traditional sweet of Bengal and Odisha. People make varieties of Gaja in Odisha. Khasta gaja, chhena gaja, khira gaja and dali gaja etc. This traditional sweets are very famous in Odisha. people make it in every occasion and celebration.
Today in this recipe we will make  "Dali gaja".


Ingredients : 

For making dough :

4 cup refined flour
½ tsp salt
4 tbsp refined oil
Water for kneading dough

Method :

• Take 4 cup refined flour in a plate.
• Add ½ tsp salt and 4 tbsp in it refined oil in it.
• Mix all the ingredient properly, till it completely mix.

• Then add water step by step and knead it.
• Use normal water for knead the dough.
• Knead the dough properly till it become soft.
• This dough should be in samosa dough consistency.
• After kneading cover the dough for 15-20 minutes.
 • After 20 minute make divide the dough.
• Make it in round shape.
• Then roll it in a rolling pin.
• The roti should be in half cm width.

• Cut it in thin strip.
• Then cut the strip in 3-4 inch gap.
• Take all the pieces in a plate.
• Heat oil in medium flame.
• We need lukewarm oil for frying gaja.
• Add all pieces in oil.

• Fry it in slow medium flame till it turns to light golden brown colour and crispy.
• When it change it's colour take the fried gaja in a plate.

Ingredients :

For sugar syrup 


1 cup sugar
½ cup water



Method:

• Then take one cup sugar in a bowl, add ¼ cup water in
• Boil it in medium flame.
• Boil it for for 4-5 minutes.
• We need after one string consistency sugar syrup for making gaja.
• Add half tsp green cardamom powder in sugar syrup then mix it properly.
• Now add fried gaja in sugar syrup.
• Stir it continuously in slow flame till sugar coated perfectly over gaja.

• Now take gaja in a plate for serving.
• We can store it in a airtight container for month and above.
