Laccha paratha is a food of Punjab. This recipe is a popular Punjabi lachedar paratha. In Punjabi, parat means layers and it is made with wheat flour and ghee.
This paratha looks beautiful as layered, it is so soft and tasty.We can make it with 3 ingredients.The secret of making perfect laccha parathas is rolling them in a proper way. Although it might initially seem difficult, it becomes quite easy once you start making them .
Ingredients :
½ kg wheat flourRefined oil
½ tsp salt
Method :
• Take wheat flour in a plate.• Add salt and refined oil in it.
• You can add clarified butter instead of refined oil.
• Rub all ingredients properly.
• You can add dry masala powder and sugar powder in wheat flour as per your taste.
• Add normal water step by step.
• Lachha paratha dough should be in normal paratha dough consistency.
• Knead it for 2 minutes.
• After 2 minutes cover the dough and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
• After 20 minutes divide the dough.
• Make the dough balls in round shape.
• Sprinkle some dry flour over a rolling pin.
• Now roll the dough with the help of a rolling pin.
• Add 2 tsp refined oil properly over roti.
• Then sprinkle dry flour over the oil layer.
• Cut the roti in thin strips.
• Now gather all the thin strips.
• Add 1 tsp oil over gather strips.
• Make it in round shape.
• Now roll it.
• Heat a pen in medium flame and then add paratha in hot pan.
• After 1 minute change it's side.
• It takes 2 minute for cooking one paratha.
• Add 1 tsp oil in each side of the paratha.
• After cooking properly take the Paratha in a plate for serving.
• you can serve it with any vegetable curry or paneer curry.
